In August 2016, IMG Adventure Land-the world's largest indoor playground opened in Dubai! Dubai's landed gentry has spent a billion dollars to create another one of the world's most excellent indoor playgrounds. The IMG Adventure Landing Indoor Playground is divided into four main sections: the World of Marvel Heroes, Lost Valley Dinosaur Adventure, Cartoon Channel, and IMG Avenue.
One of the attractions is the Marvel Heroes Land, which is licensed by Marvel Studios.
The themed indoor playground is located in Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed on the outskirts of Dubai, close to the famous Global Village and about 20 minutes drive from the city center and international airport. It is open all year round, and the comfortable environment with constant temperature is one of the good options for tourists to escape from the hot weather of Dubai.
The entire area of Marvel World of Heroes is set to recreate the New York street scenes from the original comics, and Marvel Studios has licensed to bring together popular Avengers characters - Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and many more - to recreate the Battle of New York.
In this customized indoor playground, visitors can also take a ride on the Avengers S.H.I.E.L.D. Quinjet and face off with the super-villain Ultron through the darkness of the air with 3D and new drive technology; experience a tandem-seat Quinjet and race through the air with other visitor-operated fighters; or take a ride on the 400-meter-long spinning coaster through the air of New York City and witness Spider-Man and Dr. Octopus fighting each other; or sit in the Or get "hands-on" with the Hulk as he battles his nemesis in a theater using new real-world technology.
While Dubai's year-round dry heat is always a problem for tourists, the Lost Valley is partly a rainforest with constant humidity, allowing visitors to forget about the harsh heat of Dubai. The mechanical dinosaurs here were all designed by Japanese animation company Kokoro over a period of five years, and are built to realistic heights for a life-like effect, with a 15.5-meter tall Barosaurus standing out. The highlight of this section is the Dubai Express high-speed Velociraptor roller coaster, which is about 1.1 kilometers long and can increase its speed to 100 kilometers in 2.5 seconds. Starting from the prehistoric jungles of the Valley of the Lost, the coaster will also drive out of the entire park drive around the desert outside, and then return again, making it fun and exciting.
The Cartoon Channel area is an amusement area designed for children, with rides modeled after well-known and adorable cartoon characters. The rides are gentle and fully guarantee the safety of children. Parents can bring their children here to watch exciting cartoon character shows and experience the world's first "Teen Hack" 5D movie.
IMG Avenue
This is the park's all-in-one place to eat, drink and relax, with 25 themed retail stores, 28 food and beverage outlets and a movie theater with 12 state-of-the-art big screens. It is also important to mention that it is home to the largest haunted house in the Middle East, called the Haunted Hotel. It is haunted by ghosts and ghouls of all shapes and sizes and is so creepy that you have to be 15 years old or older to enter.
MOTIONGATE Dubai, an adventure park based on Hollywood movies, features 27 rides inspired by 13 classic action and animated films, including Ghostbusters, Shrek, and The Hunger Games.
Three parks are themed to three legendary Hollywood studios: DreamWorks, Lionsgate, and Columbia Pictures. There's also a Smurfs Village for the little ones, enough to keep them entertained for hours.
