Indoor Play Structure

We are honored to have undertaken the indoor playground project for the Daqing Water Cube Bathing Beach in Heilongjiang Province. The project has a space of 166 square meters and a ceiling height of 9 meters. Originally a space used for movie screenings, we did not alter the original stepped foundation, but instead built a 6.8-meter-high three-dimensional amusement maze on it-demonstrating our ability to customize indoor playgrounds according to terrain, area, and client needs.

 

High Ceiling Indoor Playground Design: Pop Art Narrative in Red, Yellow, and Blue

 

The design adopts the high-saturation, high-contrast color strategy of Pop Art, and through the combination of the three primary colors-red, yellow, and blue-it creates a highly dynamic visual interface. This not only instantly captures children's attention but also subtly conveys an optimistic and positive emotional tone. The entire space breaks away from the traditional "soft fairytale" paradigm of indoor play structure design, presenting a more contemporary and bolder aesthetic.

 

 

Releasing the Limits of a High Ceiling Indoor Play Structure

 

 

The 9-meter building height is key to the design. By incorporating elevated platforms, suspended structures, and layered rope nets, the design retains the original tiered layout of the screening room while achieving a usable play height of 6.8 meters. This makes full use of the interior height space, while providing children with a rich play experience and visual appeal. It creates an indoor playground within the high-ceilinged space-children on lower floors can look up and see the trampolines and netted walkways above, giving the entire play area a rich sense of layering and vertical three-dimensionality.

 

 

 

Soft Play Equipment for spa: A Three-Dimensional Maze on a Stepped Foundation

 

We then layered various play units on this foundation:

- Ball Pit: Located in the lower area, providing a soft and safe landing for slides and an immersive experience of falling and throwing;

 

 

- Aerial Trampoline: Suspended in the middle level, release children's kinetic energy;

 

 

- Rainbow Net: A net-like space for climbing and resting.

 

These elements together form a vertical, three-dimensional play system, allowing children to constantly switch their bodies and perspectives as they climb, jump, slide, and crawl - a true vertical playground maze.
